Spring Break

Well, well, well. It’s nice to see you spring. What took you so long?

This week has been absolutely gorgeous and is 100% my kind of weather. The sun is shining, birds are singing, and its somewhere around 60 degrees. Just awesome.

That being said, I feel like I need a week off. I’ve been putting a lot of hours and efforts into networking, job hunting, LinkedIn-ing, learning AMA style through my online courses, and I need a breather. I wasn’t going to take any time off because, well, time off from what exactly? I have no job at the moment. But the thing is, I do have a job. My job right now is looking for a job, and it is exhausting.

A few of my Facebook friends who are still in school are on spring break this week and Mama Foodie is also taking some days off work to come visit me for a long weekend. So, why not me? Why don’t I take a break? After all, this is the perfect week to have spring break. I am in between editing classes. Mama Foodie is coming to visit from Chicago so I won’t get any work done while she is here. And I have no networking events planned until the following week.

While I’m on break, I plan to continue my volunteer work for the Manayunk-Roxborough Food Co-op. I’m their social media manager now and I’m writing copy for the website. And, of course, I plan on having some foodie adventures. I’ll write them up next week.

Enjoy the wonderful weather and go eat some delicious food!
