Anyways, smoothies, the drink kind, are incredibly easy to make. Yet, I seem to forget about them during those times when I just don’t feel like cooking. They are the perfect no-cook meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and all you need is a blender and some fruit. Smoothies can be made the night before and stored in the fridge. Perfect for those days when you have to wake up and get moving early. Smoothies are also useful for blending fruit that is about to go bad but you don’t think you can eat it all in time. Last but not least, smoothies are great for using up your misguided Costco purchase of an industrial-sized bag of mixed frozen berries.
My favorite fruit smoothie is vegan, full of nutrients like antioxidants, and goes down naturally sweet. Keep in mind that this is the combination of fruit that I like the best. Everyone is different, so play around with the proportions, the type of fruit you use, adding water/yogurt/ice-cream/milk and see how it goes!Serves: 2 Time: 5 minutes
